Jonny Briggs

Many congratulations to Jonny as the Chelsea degree show marks the end of his studies (for the time being).  He has been awarded a First Class degree for his work.

For the past six months Jonny has been continuing his photography work, focusing upon with issues surrounding his parents, their domestic relationship and how they have shaped the identities of him and his siblings. He has also branched out into film and sculpture work, where he shall be constructing porcelain dolls of his parents, also representative of the children.

Jonny has also completed four Diplomas in web production, craft bookbinding, film and video production and digital video editing which has helped develop his potential as an artist. He has also exhibited at the Bethnal Green Old Town Hall in January, The Vegas Gallery Shoreditch in February with printmaker James Unsworth, the Arts Gallery Mayfair in March (also leading to an artist's talk at the gallery a month later), a description of his work in Time Out magazine, two publications in Medium Magazine, and the offer of a place at Galeria Afa in Chile next year.

On the commercial front, Jonny has completed event photography for Village Drinks networking event, the 35th anniversary of London Nightline, Art Directing for a film entitled 'Marbles is missing' for missing pictures film production company, and production stills for the films 'the clown vs the strongman' and 'king jeff'; led photography workshops with groups of schoolchildren, the latest being a project upon the Victorian age, using of period costumes. These images are currently being printed in a magazine, alongside writing projects from a journalist also involved with the workshops.

He has also started to design laser cut greeting cards, after learning a new computer program 'Vectorworks'. These shall be sold at Wimbledon and Cambridge Craft Markets later this year
