Bringing in the New Year!

A very happy New Year to all our friends and partners. We are looking forward to a fantastic 2012, with lots of exciting developments on the horizon.

Firstly, we are really pleased to welcome Hasmita back into the fold, after her three month work placement in Tanzania. Hasmita has only been back a few weeks, but she is, as always, getting really stuck into some of our upcoming projects, and bringing her enthusiasm and chirpy nature to the office!

We are developing conversations around the ArtScience Prize, and had a great meeting with various potential partners at the Natural History Museum before Christmas. We look forward to seeing the progress around this fantastic prize as we head into 2012.

Our Lab_13 family has seen some changes; Irchester has welcomed in a new Management Team, and Dovecote are training up some new members to take over from the year 6′s in the summer. We have also been in talks with Room 13, to discuss bringing Room 13 and the Lab_13 networks together, and exploring possibilities within the studios and labs. For more updates on Lab_13, have a look at the blog.

One of our most exciting links is with The Engine at Derby Silk Mill, and we are still developing links, opportunities and ideas with the lovely people over in the Silk Mill. Watch this space for updates!

The Breath of Fresh Air and Cargoes projects are both well under way, and producing some beautiful art works and community projects. Light installations at Sywell Country Park have lit up the lake with beautiful glowing hovering lights, and our fab Vicar Water tote bags have sold out already!

Lots in the pipeline, and many more creative conversations to be had. We hope everyone had a great festive period, and is looking forward to a great 2012!
