We have just about recovered from our incredible day at the Big Bang Fair last Saturday, where we were joined by the MT from Irchester’s Lab_13, who worked the NEC like true proffesionals!
We spent most of the morning creating copious amounts of slime! Much to the delight of our young visitors, and dismay of their parents, we offered cups for the slime to be taken away, and so all around the Big Bang Fair, various colours of slime were making an appearance.
The ‘Kits in a Tube’ were a hit, and we managed to give them all away by lunchtime! The Kits were:
‘Little Sherlock‘ – by Irchester Lab_13
‘Slime Time‘ – by Dovecote Lab_13
‘Bugs Hotel’ – by Bowbridge Lab_13
‘Sixty‘ – by St Olaves School
We are really looking forward to getting some of the feedback forms back, so we can see what people thought of the kits. Hopefully, they were well received, and we can make more!
The Irchester MT did a fantastic job, getting people’s favourite science questions stuck up on to their Investigations Board, and exploring the Fair, and all the weird and wonderful things walking (and flying!) around!
We had a great day, and would like to say a HUGE thanks to all the Lab_13s & schools who created the Kits, and to Irchester MT, Miss Morgan and Mrs Tyrrell for providing some great entertainment throughout the day. It was a fantastic day, and we hope everyone else had as much fun as we did!
