Well Friday has come around, and we here in the Ignite! office are looking forward to the weekend, after a great week of creative developments!
And what this week has held for the Ignite! team:
We had a great Skype call with Hasmita (our fantastic intern) who is currently out in Tanzania, getting stuck into yet more evaluation! We are looking forward to having her back, but loving hearing all the exciting things she’s been getting up to. To see for yourself, check out her blog.
Thursday took us to Derby, to continue discussions with the incredible Silk Mill, the worlds first factory! We were also fortunate to be joined by Tim Hunkin again, following the Celebration event. Tim’s work is truly inspiring. For more on what he does, click here.
The Lab_13 family is getting fully online! With more posts from Irchester, Elizabeth Woodville and Crown Hills, have a look at the blog to see what has been happening in Lab_13 land!
The Ignite! board has been joined by two new faces: the brilliant Kate Andrews, social media extraordinaire, and Becky Swain from the Arvon Foundation. We look forward to developing new and exciting ideas with our two new recruits!
Andrew Smith, Creative Spark, popped into the office on Wednesday to chat about his projects, and his great youtube channel, onewordscience. Have a look at the videos Andrew has produced, he is hot on the heels of Brian Cox!
And Rick and AMy will be heading down to Bristol in a couple of weeks to meet up with some of the Room 13 family, to share what we’ve been doing with Lab_13, and learn more about Room 13 developments. The concept has grown so much that not only is there Room 13 and Lab_13, but now Shed 13 has joined the group!
Lots and lots of exciting developments, and some busy weeks ahead!
