Vision

Ignite! believes that the characteristics of creative thinkers can be identified and nurtured, and that young people’s innate capacity for invention and play should be developed both within schools and elsewhere.

We work with young people to reveal and develop their capacity for creativity and creative thinking. Ignite! is a new company set up in October 2006 to promote creativity in learning. We want to be the leading provider of useful intelligence and models of best practice that demonstrate the importance of creativity in the development of young people.

We want to break new ground and explore new territory. Our intelligence will be useful because it will derive from action research and be thoroughly evaluated for delivery, transferability, scalability, effectiveness and outcomes. Our emphasis on the importance of creativity in the development of young people is founded in a belief that future prosperity and personal fulfillment depend on developing the capacities, attitudes and behaviours to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Our audience will be policy makers and practitioners and agencies working with young people. Young people and their needs and aspirations will inform our planning and programme.
