Leonardo’s Protégé

Leonardo’s Protégé is a unique new venture based at Central St Martins College in the University of the Arts.

Its purpose is to enable exceptionally creative young people who are excluded from mainstream education to create their own one-year ‘learning programme’, reflecting their own interests and concerns as young citizens on the cusp of adulthood. Protégé facilitates these excluded pupils to modernise the curriculum - allowing them access to, and use of, professional support, media rich digital technology, campaigning and advocacy tools.

Ignite! is providing research, consultancy and project development based on our experience of working with young people whose exceptional creative thinking capacities are not recognised by mainstream schools and colleges or who find that their divergent creativity leads them into disruptive behaviour and exclusion.
