Ignition* works in collaboration with many partners across the region, and nationally, to deliver the comprehensive programme of creativity in STEM subjects.

Our partners in the East Midlands region are The Mighty Creatives (T.M.C.) and the programme is funded by emda. Ignition* is also part of the East Midlands STEM Partnership Forum. Read more..

The Mighty Creatives (T.M.C.)

The Mighty Creatives (T.M.C.) is a new charity responsible for championing young people’s creativity across the East Midlands. T.M.C. were given their fantastic name by children and young people, and the charity was officially launched on the 1st of April 2009.

T.M.C. works with young people, creative professionals and many different organisations to manage projects that help young people to develop their creativity. As well as Ignition*, T.M.C. are currently involved in the following creative projects.

Creative Partnerships: the Government’s flagship creative learning programme, designed to develop the skills of young people across England, raising their aspirations and equipping them for their futures.

Find Your Talent: which offers children and young people the chance to take part in arts and cultural activities both in and out of school, funded by the Department for Culture Media and Sport, the Department for Children, Schools and Families, Arts Council England and the Museums Libraries and Archives Council.

The 2009 -2012 Journals Project:a new and exciting opportunity for young people aged 11-21 to record their stories, thoughts and feelings. Young people from across the East Midlands will produce journals about the cultural events taking place in the region leading up to the 2012 Olympics.
