‘Got an idea?’
The invention competition with a difference. Not only were pupils be invited to submit their invention prototypes for judging but they were also invited to attend a summer day out where they took part in fun and surprising invention workshops, showcased their own inventions to fellow young inventors and learnt from some of the most incredibly creative minds in the UK. We had winners from all over the East Midlands, and from all age groups, and look forward to seeing them develop info fantastic inventors of the future!
A Cracking Day - Invent! 09
Neon-coloured brains, gigantic plants, and a whole host of other crazy activities filled the day at this year's Invent! competition! Read on to find out who invented what, and who won the grand prize of a trip to the new 'Cracking Ideas' exhibition at the Science Museum!
Keyworth pupils take on Wallace and Gromit!
Following their winning invention, to save the tadpoles in their school pond, the pupils of Keyworth spent a day in London, visiting the Wallace and Gromit exhibition in the Science Museum, and then stopped off at the Natural History Museum to visit the ancestors of their tadpoles, the Dinosaurs!
