The Lab 13 family grows . . .
We are very pleased to be able to announce our three final Lab 13's!
Following a fantastic response from East Midlands schools applying to host a Lab 13, the Ignition* team have managed to decide on the final three schools which will join the Lab 13 family.
Bowbridge Primary School, Newark
The students impressed the selection panel with their vision, enthusiasm, and well thought-out plans. A Management Team, made up of the students will work together in the autumn term to develop a wide range of experiments they plan to explore, alongside fundraising activities. Kyle Johnston and Amber Shaw said: “Our Lab 13 will be a place where possibilities are endless. We will use it to explore all sorts of science, technology, engineering and maths
Irchester Community Primary School, Irchester
What impressed the panel whilst visiting Irchester Community Primary School, was the ability of a rural school to use fantastic school grounds and a wildlife area to boost their commitment to promoting science learning.
Kingsbrook Business and Enterprise School, Deanshanger
At Kingsbrook, the school has great industry links locally and the students led the site visit and really impressed the judges with their enterprising approach.
All three schools are preparing for their Launch Day's, and we will have more information about the Lab 13 launch days soon.
