Phyllida Shaw is a researcher, writer and facilitator specialising in arts policy and management. She has undertaken contracts for the five Arts Councils of the British Isles, for government departments, local authorities, grant-making trusts and a wide range of arts organisations. She is an associate lecturer on the MA in Arts & Cultural Management at the University of Sussex and a research associate at the Cities Institute, London Metropolitan University.
She is a member of the Boards of Ignite!; Arts Research Ltd, publisher of Arts Research Digest; Fabrica, a gallery in Brighton; and the London Centre for International Storytelling, a new organization with ambitions to establish a permanent venue for oral storytelling.
