Brian Fury
Brian is from Leicester, 17, and passionate about mechanics and engineering. He plans to use his Creative Sparks award to develop his creative writing and link it to his love of ancient mechanical devices and machines. Brian describes how he used to ‘get into scraps’ when he was younger. Now he is a member of the Children in Care Council in Leicester where he led on negotiating a pledge from the city council to ensure that young people are represented in reviews of services that might affect them. Now a student on a BTEC course at Loughborough College, Brian is keeping his wide ranging interests alive through his writing, and performing (soon to be taking the stage at the Buxton Fringe Festival).
