Having spent my gap year on a Year in Industry, I am currently studying Innovative Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University. I spent two months in China with the Prime Minister’s Global Fellowship in 2008 which involved a cultural immersion programme. This has developed my view that it is imperative for young people in the UK to have a good understanding of global issues in order to keep up with our rapidly changing world. I am heavily involved with the Global Development Committee at university and am a Year in Industry ambassador; this involves visiting schools and promoting engineering as a career.

Ignite!

Ignite! was set up in October 2006 to promote creativity in learning. Ignite! works with young people to reveal and develop their capacity for creativity and creative thinking.
