Overview

Ignite! has always placed an emphasis on action research, not necessarily in academic terms, but in order to learn more about what we are doing. When we embarked on our own journey of discovery in 2003, we described the pilot phase of Ignite!, where the aim was to identify and support exceptional creativity in young people, as action research to define our terms – otherwise known as making it up as we went along. Now four years later, we still conduct research for ourselves and others, to improve our understanding of critical issues.
