COMMUNITY CURIOSITY LABS

Events in local libraries, social and community centres that show how science can be fun, exciting and a part of our everyday live

 

Working with Nottingham City Homes and scientists from the University of Nottingham, we piloted the Community Curiosity Labs over the summer of 2015, in the Strelley and Aspley neighbourhoods. Children and their families explored science questions, through a series of fun experiments. It had an immediate impact on the community and the events were positively received by

all the young people who attended.

Our vision is to bring regular Community Curiosity Labs to these neighbourhoods where we will run science experiments with children and their families. We believe that Community Curiosity Labs are a great way of communicating science ideas, and involving children and families in a deeper understanding of some of the discoveries that are changing our world.

Short-listed for the 2016 Big Lottery  People's Projects to win £50,000.
