With six programmes running under the Ignition* banner, we have been having an exhilarating four years of news, events and activities. Due to a change of funding, we will be celebrating these great programmes at an all-encompassing Celebration Event in September!
Ignition* Celebration Event As our four years of funding draws to a close, and we look forward to new opportunities and avenues for creativity, we will be hosting a celebratory event to champion the fantastic input from young people and partners across the East Midlands. Held over three days in September, it will be a great event that will showcase some of the amazing creativity that has come from the region's young people, across all six Ignition* strands. Sunday 11th September: Creative Sparks reunion. Although this will be a private event, there will be a Creative Sparks exhibition curated, for visitors to come and see during the Monday and Tuesday events. Monday 12th September: Ignition* schools and practitioner Showcase. Students, teachers and practitioners will be showing what they have created through their involvement with the Ignition* programme. It is set to be a great day, full of creativity, inventiveness and brilliant STEM based activities. Tuesday 13th September: EM STEM Forum Event. AN opportunity for members of STEM industries, businesses and partners to come along, see what has been taking place over the four years of the Ignition* programme, and a great opportunity to network. Following this event, there will be a Lab_13 Showcase event in the afternoon, where members of our six Lab_13 management teams will be present to explain the concept of Lab_13, show what they have all been doing in their Labs, and answer any questions about the future of Lab_13, and what it has brought to the young people involved.
