OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK WITH IGNITE!

Join our Board

We are currently looking to fill two trustee positions, who have experience in work with diverse communities; fundraising and/or sponsorship; creativity and enterprise; policy and influence. We are especially interested in hearing from applicants who are based in Nottingham.

Please note that we would still welcome applicants who may not have experience in the areas outlined above.

We encourage applications from people of all ethnicities, social and cultural backgrounds and genders, people who identify as LGBTQ+, people who are disabled, refugees, migrants and people from all identities who are made to feel marginalised.

If you're interested in joining our board, please read the Trustee Recruitment Pack for more information. Candidates are invited to submit a CV and a covering letter explaining why they are interested in joining the Ignite! Board as a Trustee, what skills they will bring, what most excites them about the role and anything else they wish to tell us. We will also welcome video applications of up to three minutes as an alternative to a covering letter.

The deadline for applications is Friday 27 November, but we may close applications early if we appoint before this date.

Please let us know if there's anything we can do to make this application process more accessible.

Professional Internships for PhD Students (PIPS)

Over the past few years, Ignite! has welcomed interns from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC)'s Professional Internships for PhD Students scheme. Students have undertaken three-month placements with us, working across our programmes and co-defining the areas of work they focus on.

For the academic year 2020/21, we are interested in hearing from students who are interested in undertaking placements with us in two roles: Lab_13 Scientist in Residence and Festival of Science and Curiosity Assistant Producer.

We can be flexible in terms of start and end dates, and would also be happy to have a conversation with any student interested in working with us to create a bespoke placement.

For more information, please contact Megan Shore megan@ignitefutures.org.uk
