Crown Hills Launch

Our second Lab 13 has been officially opened, with some fantastic experiments, presentation, and even a TV appearance!

Led by the management team, and assisted by Tom Carter, the scientist-in-residence at the Crown Hills Lab 13, the visitors to the lab were treated to an introductory talk, explaining how the ideas for the Lab had led to winning the bid for it, and explaining the colour wheel that started it all off. After this welcome talk, visitors were led to the Lab, where various experiments were taking place. Dry ice was soon filling the lab, and electric pulses were shocking everyone! After spending some time in the Lab, with the Management Team showing the visitors the different experiments and inventions, and also explaining the story behind the fantastic graffiti artwork covering one of the Lab walls, the Lab was cleared so Tom could take part in a TV interview with a representative from Central News, which was aired later that day.

The launch was a great success, and Crown Hills looks like it is thoroughly enjoying the new addition to its science family, a dedicated space, run by young people, for young people; Lab 13!
