BRENDON LAWRENCE
HOLIDAY CLUB

A programme of activities engaging children attending a local holiday club with horticulture and growing

We have been delivering sessions for the Brendon Lawrence Holiday Club in St Ann's during the school holidays since 2018. Thanks to a grant from the Wheatcroft Fund, we are now delivering a year-long programme of activities introducing the children to horticulture, plant science and gardening.

So far the children have identified plants and wildlife in the St Ann's Allotments, planted their own herbs and protected them from the winter and learnt about the role of worms in producing good quality soil.

By the end of the project, the children will have grown and prepared their own vegetables for a celebratory feast.
