Free after school sessions for children to explore their creativity and curiosity!
​
'Creative Sparks’ is Ignite!’s after school programme for children aged 5-10 years.
​
The programme has taken place each Monday at St Ann’s Valley Library since 2022, every Wednesday at Strelley Road Library since 2023 and starting every Thursday at Meadows library in 2024.
​
Children take part in a wide range of creative activities, including games, experiments, exhibitions and performances. They work with the Ignite! team and meet ‘special guests’ - volunteers and researchers from Nottingham's universities and local industry.
​
Children are supported to develop their confidence, self-belief, communication skills, have the opportunity to explore their own interests and build relationships with children from their local community throughout the sessions.
​
The sessions in St Ann’s and Meadows are funded by the National Lottery Awards for All, and the Strelley Road sessions are funded by Catalent Pharma Solutions.

Book places for the Summer Term!
​
Sessions will be back at St Ann's Library from Monday 15th April until Monday 22nd July 2024 (with bank holiday Monday 6th May and half term Monday 27th May off). These sessions have a maximum capacity of 20 children so booking is essential.
​
Sessions will begin at Strelley Road Library from Wednesday 17th April until 24th July 2024 (with half term Wednesday 29th May off). These sessions have a maximum capacity of 15 children so booking is essential.
​
Sessions will begin at Meadows Library from Thursday 2 May until Thursday 25 July (with half term Thursday 30 May off). These sessions have a maximum capacity of 15 children so booking is essential.

We do encourage children to attend every week, but please book on a weekly basis, rather than all sessions in one go, to make sure that your child/children can attend and that there is enough space for everyone. Please let us know if you are unable to attend so that we can offer the session to another child.
