Free holiday sessions for children to explore their creativity and curiosity!

Ignite! runs a programme of holiday activities taking place in Easter, Summer, October and Christmas Holidays. This programme is funded through the Department for Education's Holiday Activities and Food Programme through Nottingham City Council. In 2024, our programme has a specific focus on engaging refugee and asylum seeking families.

Children take part in a wide range of creative activities, including nature investigations, games, experiments, exhibitions and performances. They work with the Ignite! team and meet ‘special guests’ - volunteers and researchers from Nottingham's universities and local industry. Children are supported to develop their confidence, self-belief, communication skills, have the opportunity to explore their own interests and build relationships with children in thier local community throughout the sessions.

In 2024 we will deliver a hybrid programme taking place both were families live and with visits across the city to; community, culture and heritage sites. Read our blog to find out more about our latest activities and news from recent sessions.
